BANGZZ
Durham, North Carolina, United States
About
BANGZZ is garage punk true to the riot grrrl era that dishes out loud and fast songs with in your face radical queer and feminist themes. The band began turning heads with their campy music videos and explosive live shows while opening up for acts like Mannequin Pussy, Wednesday, The Gories and Soul Glo . The new album, “Maybe She's Born with It, Maybe It’s a Trauma Response” is about self discovery and healing. It’s a release of all the quiet, unspoken truths, now screamed. It’s the ripping off of a patriarchal “good girl” mask and howling at the moon, while inviting all who hear it, to do the same.
