Drummer Josh and Bassist Ethan were once part of a band called "The Bogeys" until a moment of awe in 2022 when they attended a show at SLO Brew Rock with Pancho and The Wizards and Repeater. They decided that night they wanted something more. At that moment AIP was born as a mere side project. They left "The Bogeys" and went through many trials testing different sounds and vibes with guitarists. Around this time in early 2024, Guitarist Hurley was actively looking for people to jam with when a coworker pointed him in their direction. After months of jamming and figuring out each other's styles, the finalized lineup of AIP was set in stone. Since then, the Hard Rock/Metal/Grunge/Whateverthehell band has played many shows spanning from Seaside to Oxnard and a handful of bars/cafes in Downtown SLO along with house shows and even the Cal Poly UU. The band finds the motivation to play through having a creative outlet to express themselves whether it's loud and heavy or slow and melancholic. What keeps AIP going is providing a place of comradery and a sense of comfort along with feeling part of a community. When an audience is visibly resonating with a piece of music and establishing a very human connection, this is known as going "AIP shit"
