Antiquated Seekers
Prague, 10, Czech Republic
About
The Ancient Prospectors first heard the scratchy recordings of Rude Relic rhyming over Fly Antiquarian's Breaks From the Future the day the pillars of the Parthenon fell. As the Acropolis collapsed, the Oracle at Delphi spit out a scroll written in spray paint that simply read "Off the rails." Word spread from the Athenian hipsters to the Theban B-Boys about these catalytic mystics, passing bootlegs across oceans and centuries. Waves in the wireless ether, to Papyrus etchings, to daguerreotypes of soundwaves, to Edison cylinders, to sharpie marked cassettes, to unmarked thumb drives, back to waves in the wireless ether. And the Seekers smiled, for they had found their frequency. #abstract hip hop #experimental hip hop #alternative hip hop #underground hip hop #jazz rap #dark #conscious hip hop #nerd rap #chill hip hop #science (fiction?)
