Anorak

About

Anorak are a 5 piece indie alt band based in Cambridgeshire. At just 17 years old Susanna Serrano (lead vocals), Theo Boyle (guitar), Solomon Hughes (guitar & backing vocals) James Hynes (bass) and Ned Newman(drums) have taken the local music scene by storm only making their live debut in March 2022. In just a few short months the band signed to Off The Chart Artist Management and have already performed at some of the region’s best known outdoor events and indoor venues including Strawberry Fair, the Big Weekend in Cambridge, the Cambridge Junction and The Apex as well as travelling around East Anglia including regular performances in Cambridge, Norwich, Ipswich, Bury St Edumunds, Haverhill and Stowmarket. Anorak also picked up numerous regional NMG award nominations at the first time of asking claiming top 5 for u18 band of the year, audience choice band of the year and track of the year with their song ‘Marseilles’ narrowly missing out on all 3. The teenagers’ concoction of explosive musicianship and stunning vocals has evolved throughout their early releases. Anorak’s sound is adapting as they age and the positive elements of their debut EP, titled ‘Make Up Your Mind’ have been adapted to bring their newest record ‘Bad Kiss / Exodus’ to life, creating an audacious, mature double sided single released to the world in January 2023.
