About
Andy Nixon writes songs the way some people keep journals. A founding member of Freedom To Glide, a member of Bob Jackson's Badfinger (and instrumental in the production of Badfinger's recent album release "Head First") and a longtime producer, guitarist, songwriter and lyricist, Andy's solo work distills years of experience into something different but no less urgent: cinematic acoustics, half-lit rooms of sound, and melodies that unfold at their own pace. His debut album, The Waterline (2024), marked the beginning of a more personal thread — music that reflects the coastlines of memory, time, and the lives lived in between. Whether writing about war, loss, love or the complexity of the human condition Andy Nixon favours emotional accuracy over sentimentality, and clarity over gloss.........this is music for listeners who lean in.
