Alien Funk Academy
Athens, Georgia, United States
About
Alien Funk Academy is an Athens-based power trio specializing in super-tight space funk, noisy hard rock, and rave-like electronic mayhem. Their first album “Professors of Alien Funk” was released in 2023. In 2024, the group made a complete transformation into a full-on electronic outfit with guitar, bass, electronic drums, and synthesizers. Now back with live drums, the group combines their funk, hard rock, and digital eras in an exhilarating concoction that is as heavy-hitting as it is danceable. The group has played at the 40 Watt Club, the Georgia Theatre, Aisle 5, Smith’s Olde Bar, and is currently working on recording their second album.
