About
Alex Saint Ivy’s music is best described as “the sound of suburban frustration”. Despite growing up in a UK town best known for its roundabouts and now half empty shopping centre, his songwriting takes inspiration from classic American artists like Tom Petty, Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen and then mixes them up with more modern influences like Hiss Golden Messenger, Ben Kweller and early 00s one hit wonders The New Radicals. Alex Saint Ivy writes music for people who want to read a paper on the dance floor, people who want to send an angry letter of complaint but written in multicoloured crayons, people who take themselves too seriously and also not seriously enough. Maybe, people like you.
