Alex C. Mills

About

Alex C. Mills is a cosmic country artist based in Austin, TX. His moonstruck sound recalls slower times and softer words, where the almond trees are blooming and grandma’s sheet pan cake is cut up on the counter. Growing up in the foothills of Northern California, Alex’s musical upbringing was expansive, from the classic country songwriters he listened to in his dad’s truck to the surf-psych bands he would venture out to see in San Francisco. Alex’s sound distinctly combines these two worlds and is entirely produced and recorded himself. Heartache is no stranger in Alex’s lyricism. He thoughtfully crafts stories of real tribulations into honest and poetic melodies. His most recent release, Blessed Are The Pure In Heart, is a parable about addiction, grace, and redemption. Some inspirations include Michael Nau, Nathaniel Rateliff, and Tyler Childers.
