hey pals!!! :) my name is Abby, and i'm a 20-year-old singer/songwriter from Memphis, Tennessee! my AMAZING dad taught me to play the guitar when I was six years old, and I started writing music within a year or so of learning the guitar. I used to sit on the steps of my front porch with my hot pink guitar singing the songs I wrote- and Taylor Swift songs, of course- to my dogs. my friends and family encouraged me to compete in my middle school's annual talent shows, and I landed a fun gig playing for the beautiful people at the nursing home in my town. after playing small coffee shop gigs and at local restaurants on and off for a few years, I started regularly playing at live music venues and open mics around the Memphis area in at age fifteen. overwhelmed by the love and support from fellow songwriters in the area, my mom and I joined the Memphis Songwriters Association soon after, and I was named MSA's Songwriter of the Year in 2018. I recorded my first EP, Away From the City, in 2019. About a year later, I self-produced and released my single, Rooftop. currently, I am a full-time college student and teach guitar and ukulele lessons in my free time!
