Abby and the Arsonists
New Orleans, Louisiana, United States
About
Abby and the Arsonists is a DIY indie-rock band based in New Orleans, LA. Their newest album, Caterpillars in the Walls, is a collage of references and sounds. Guitar tones shift from bright and jangly to fuzzy and distorted. Genre influences include shoegaze, post-punk, emo, and metal. Lyrics are drawn from a hodgepodge of sources: TV show finales, recurring dreams, party gossip, the mysterious illness that wreaked havoc on Virginia’s bird population during the spring of 2021. The band is composed of drummer Luke Joia, bassist Kelsey Kroening, and brother-sister duo Abby and Andrew Lewis on vocals and guitar.
