About
404.zero has gained worldwide recognition for their large-scale digital art projects and impressive audio-visual live performances that combine generative visuals and a storm of electronic sound. As musicians, 404.zero explore territories of hypnotizing dark ambient, blending multilayered sound textures with synthesizer mysticism. In March 2020, digital-art duo released their first audio-visual album “Black Sunday”, which surprised not only art fans, but also music lovers. Later on, in June, 404.zero became the first Russian artists to release an album with legendary Icelandic label Bedroom Community that works with such visionaries of modern music as Ben Frost, Nico Muhly, Nadia Sirota. The most recent album, “404.0”, is a hypnotic journey through other worlds that embody the archaic character of analog sound. Combining modular synthesizers and various genres of intellectual meditative electronics from ambient to IDM, this release consistently immerses the listener into the duo’s sonic world.
